Side Note for those not familiar with the movie/book The Outsiders: The quote "Stay Gold, Ponyboy" is a reference to Robert Frost's poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay”, which Ponyboy recites to Johnny. The poem's line “Nothing gold can stay” means that all good things must come to an end.
